Our meeting point is at Restaurant Hollands Venetië, Beulakerweg 167 in Giethoorn. There is plenty of parking. Get directions.

Absolutely. We have more than 30 e-choppers and 15 fat bikes. For groups larger than 30 we run a rotating programme: half the group rides while the other half does another activity, then you eat together and switch. Send us an email with your date and group size.

For the e-chopper, yes: a valid car driving licence. Please bring it with you. For the fat bike you don't need a licence, but you must be at least 1.50 m tall.

Yes. An e-chopper is an electric scooter in chopper style. It rides at about 25 km/h, you ride on the cycle path and you need a driving licence. Read more about e-chopper rental in Giethoorn.

There is no minimum age. What counts is height: for a fat bike you must be at least 1.50 m tall. Is your child smaller? Then they can ride on the back of a duo e-chopper, with an adult with a driving licence as the driver.

A helmet is mandatory on the e-chopper. On the fat bike it's not required, but it's a good idea.

Anywhere a regular bicycle is allowed. The e-choppers ride at about 25 km/h, so you can cruise along the cycle paths. Please stay on paved roads. The centre of Steenwijk is off limits because of camera enforcement.

Yes, on our special duo e-choppers two people ride together. Choose a duo e-chopper when you book. A regular e-chopper and a fat bike are for one person only, for safety and insurance reasons.

Yes. You're free to go wherever you like as long as you're back on time, but we've also mapped out routes past the most beautiful spots of Weerribben-Wieden. Download the Routefabriek app, search for badass, choose a route and tap route volgen (follow route). Every e-chopper has a phone holder and a USB charger.

The renter is liable for damage during the rental period. The e-choppers have third-party insurance and the fat bikes are insured, with an excess of € 1,000. For common parts we charge fixed prices, for example throttle and ignition lock € 40, indicator bulb € 15 and footrest € 25. So ride carefully!

Yes, with our damage and theft cover, from € 3.50 per vehicle. We hope you'll never need it, but it would be a shame to pay a large amount after your ride. With the cover you won't have any hassle afterwards if something does happen. You choose it when you book.

Your driving licence (for the e-chopper) and your phone for the route. On sunny days sunglasses and sunscreen, on cooler days a jacket and gloves, and a rain poncho if it might rain.
